Shira 2 Camp lies on the eastern side of the Shira Plateau, with wide views of Kibo ahead and Mount Meru behind.

Lemosho climbers stay here before the acclimatisation climb to the Lava Tower. The flat plateau around camp is good for a gentle afternoon walk.
