Licaon Safari is a very serious and very professional agency. Our trip in Tanzania in April 2024 was organized by them (safari + kilimandjaro hike) and everything was done at the perfection, all the info that was shared with us was very accurate, they thought about all the details. Once arrives in Tanzania everything happened exactly like on paper. From the moment we landed until the moment we took off the agency is always with you, never letting you behind. Just perfect!
The trip with Licaon Safari was perfect from start to finish. Iddie is a warm, friendly and welcoming person. He made our safari an unforgettable experience that is etched deep into our hearts. The tour was perfectly organized. We were in Tarangire National Park, Ngorogoro Crater, Ndutu and Serengeti. Simply incredible
I have never been on a safari before but this one was beyond all my imaginations. Our safari lasted for five days and we visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro and Lake Manyara. We got to see all kinds of animals including the Big Five – it was breathtaking! Our guide Iddi told us many interesting facts about the animals and we were amazed by how he could spot the them from far away, long before we could even see them. An experience you will never forget
Our 5-day safari was planned by Iddi with top hotels and different national parks. We were in Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro and Lake Manyara. We saw many extraordinary animals and also the Big Five. Iddi is an outstanding guide and took great care of us. He has a great knowledge and we enjoyed this incredible trip and experience with him. Fantastic wildlife experiences
This was already our third trip with Iddi. And it topped every Africa Experience before! We spent one week in Ndutu - in the heart of the great migration in early February. Fully dedicated to his job and the animals, Iddi guided us from highlight to highlight. During the following days in the Serengeti and the Tarangire N.P. we were blessed with many special sightings as well.Iddi is a highly professional and reliable guide - and in the meanwile friend - knowing many remote track to bring his customers close to the action. Loved it! Loved It! Loved it! What a great experience! We visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and two local tribes. Iddie organized our whole trip, from Itinerary, hotels. Everything was better than expected! Joshua was our guide, and we were impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Iddie went out of his way to help us arrange a donation drop-off. 6 amazing days
We are a couple from Switzerland and spent 6 days with Iddi in Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Seregenti. We had an absolute wonderful time. Iddi has a 20 years experience of Safari and has a very calm and nice way to make observation of the wildlife. Compare to many other cars we had the chance to spent real time close to the animals.Iddi with his great heart, organized every steps prefectly, he is always on time and is available on email and whatsapp anytime you need him. Trip of a Lifetime
We just returned from our second safari in northern Tanzania, visiting Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro NPs, ending with 3 days in Zanzibar. Logistics were flawlessly handled by Iddi Mdoe, enabling us once again to retain the services of Joshua Urio, our wonderful guide from our previous trip 5 years ago. The lodges and tent camps we were booked into were all fine, mid-priced except for one night at the more elaborate Kibukibu in Central Serengeti which was well worth it. We ended our trip at the Zanzibar Retreat Hotel on the beach far away from the city— it was a beautiful old colonial house with good food and drinks but the infrastructure was questionable and the air conditioning unreliable when the generator was off. It was a relaxing way to end the trip.The highlight, of course, was the 8 days in the bush. In addition to seeing the Big Five and other usual suspects by truck, we saw part of the awesome wildebeest migration and did a walking safari in Manyara with a competent armed ranger, enabling us to get quite close to elephants on foot; on another day, we did a cultural tour of a Mosquito River village, visiting farmers and fisherman with a local guide that felt genuine and not touristy or condescending.Joshua is a remarkable birder (we saw between 175-200 species) and is quite knowledgeable about animal behavior, geology and ecology. He is also an excellent driver of his 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser and negotiated the sometimes muddy roads ( it rained a lot at night but not during the day and did not interfere with our safari)Beyond that, Joshua is a wonderful person whom we now consider a friend. Wonderful company for arranging a safari in northern and central Tanzania
We had an amazing safari arranged by Iddi Mdoe for 7 days. Having an interest in birds, he arranged for Joshua Urio to be our guide. Everything about this trip was wonderful. Joshua is an extremely warm and friendly man who knows so much about the birds,of Tanzania but also the wildlife, ecology, geology, history and politics. We had many interesting discussions during our time together and shared our mutual awe for the wildlife and environments we observed. We saw nearly 150 bird species and an amazing variety of animals including the wildebeest migration. Joshua’s ability to find birds and animals while driving was unbelievable. He is also a very skilled driver and maneuvered some muddy roads extremely well. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to enhance our trip and we felt very sad to say goodbye at the end.Iddi was also attentive and flexible with planning our trip. He is extremely responsive by email and what’s app which makes it easy to plan from far away. I have nothing but positive feelings about my experience our experience with Licaon. The owner (Iddi) and the guide ( Joshua) did everything they could to keep us comfortable and safe. This is our second trip to Tanzania and I would recommend Licaon Safaris without any reservation.
