You’ll arrive in the Central Serengeti (Seronera region) in time for lunch, ready to plunge into an afternoon of exploration. Your game drive takes you through acacia woodlands and across open plains, offering incredible photographic opportunities as the wildlife goes about its daily life. Today, you venture south to the heart of the action: the Ndutu Plains in the Southern Serengeti. Awake immersed in one of nature’s greatest spectacles. You have a full day to explore the Ndutu region at a leisurely pace, following the movements of the great herds. After a final breakfast surrounded by the Serengeti, you bid farewell to the migration and journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here, you descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden.” The crater’s enclosed ecosystem creates an astonishing concentration of wildlife. Your game drive is a final quest for the Big Five, with an excellent chance to spot the endangered black rhino, alongside large prides of lion, herds of elephant, buffalo, and flocks of flamingos on the soda lake.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before making the ascent back to the rim in the early afternoon.
