Day 1

Arusha

Your adventure begins with an 8:00 am pickup from your Arusha hotel for a scenic journey into the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara National Park, though compact, is a breathtaking mosaic of groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, and its shimmering alkaline lake. Your full-day game drive offers intimate wildlife viewing, from large herds of elephants and buffalo to troops of baboons and blue monkeys, all with the chance to spot the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

The park’s stunning landscapes provide incredible photo opportunities, with giraffes often silhouetted against the lake’s backdrop. For added adventure, optional activities like a bike tour or boat excursion may be available. A valuable note for customization: you can choose to replace Lake Manyara with Tarangire National Park or add an extra day to visit both. You’ll spend the night at the Escarpment Luxury Lodge Manyara, a luxury property perched on the ridge with magnificent views, with all meals and drinks (except spirits) included.

Day 2

Serengeti

After an early breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The drive itself is spectacular, building anticipation as the landscapes gradually unfold into the vast, golden “endless plains.” Covering an immense 6,900 square miles, the Serengeti is the stage for the Great Migration, home to over two million wildebeest, zebra, and antelope, followed closely by Africa’s most famous predators.

Your journey into the heart of the park is an immersive experience, with wildlife becoming more abundant as you progress. Your afternoon game drive introduces you to its famous residents: prides of lions, swift cheetahs, elusive leopards, and spotted hyenas. You’ll settle into your home in the bush for the next two nights: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, a comfortable mid-range tented camp located inside the park, placing you right in the heart of the wilderness under a blanket of stars.

Day 3

Central Serengeti

Today is yours to shape in consultation with your expert guide, offering a truly personalized safari experience. The entire day is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti at your preferred pace. You may choose a relaxed rhythm with a morning game drive, returning to camp for lunch and relaxation, followed by an afternoon drive as the light turns golden.

Alternatively, you can opt for a full-day adventure with a picnic lunch, allowing you to venture further and maximize wildlife viewing in remote areas. This flexibility ensures your safari matches your interests, whether you wish to patiently track a specific predator, focus on photography, or simply absorb the immense beauty of the plains.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

Embrace a classic safari tradition with a very early wake-up call for a sunrise game drive. This magical time offers the best chance to see predators in action and bathes the Serengeti in breathtaking golden light—a truly unforgettable spectacle. After this rewarding experience, you’ll return to camp for a hearty brunch before beginning your scenic journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Your destination is one of Africa’s most incredible natural wonders: the Ngorongoro Crater, a vast, intact caldera often described as a “Garden of Eden.” You’ll arrive at the crater rim in time to enjoy a sundowner with a view. You will spend the night at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, a premier luxury lodge built into the crater’s edge, offering you unparalleled views directly into this world heritage site.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Your final day begins with an early descent down the steep walls into the Ngorongoro Crater floor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a self-contained ecosystem teeming with an astonishing concentration of wildlife. Your morning game drive is a grand finale, offering an excellent chance to complete your Big Five checklist with a sighting of the rare black rhino, alongside large prides of lion, herds of elephant and buffalo, and thousands of flamingos on the soda lake.

You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo pool before taking a last, short game drive. In the early afternoon, you’ll ascend the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha. The tour is flexible for your schedule, expecting to be back in Arusha around 5:00 pm, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your incredible safari.
