Mti Mkubwa, Swahili for "Big Tree", is the first campsite on the Lemosho Route, set in a clearing in the pristine rainforest on Kilimanjaro's western slopes.

This is the quietest and most remote forest camp on the mountain. Listen for colobus monkeys and tree hyraxes in the evening.
