It is meant to break the norm of staying in the safari car for the whole day whereby you get to taste Tanzanian culture, mingle with indigenous people, and in so doing, you will contribute your warm visit and share with locals development, conservation and education.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Soon after custom procedures and luggage collection, you will be welcomed by Licaon Tours & Safaris representative with a signboard displaying your name. Breakfast at your hotel. You may need to change some foreign money to obtain local currency before leaving the city of Arusha behind and heading to Lake Manyara National Park. Game drives in this park are famous for tree-climbing lions and different species of aquatic birds. Picnic lunches will be served at midday at a designated picnic site. When contented with game viewing, drive out of the park and proceed to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp in Lake Manyara.

Breakfast at your lodge/camp. Thereafter, you will be joined by a local guide for a cultural tour in the village of Mto wa Mbu. Among other places, you will visit banana plantations, rice farms, local beer brew, the Makonde woodcarvers, and the local market. At midday, you will be served traditional Tanzanian food prepared in a traditional manner by the women of this village. Later, return to your camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the lodge. Collect packed lunches, leave Manyara behind, and head to Serengeti via the highlands of Ngorongoro. As you enter the Serengeti, you have game drives en route towards your lodge, located at Central Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Serengeti.

Spend an entire day looking for BIG 5 in this one of the biggest national parks in Tanzania. Our experienced guide will take you out to look for leopards, lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and other big and small mammals of the Serengeti. All meals and overnight will be provided at your lodge in Serengeti.

Early breakfast will be served at your lodge/camp. Equipped with packed lunches, depart for Ngorongoro Crater arriving at the rim by 10h30. Descend to the floor of the crater for an amazing tour of the crater. This is the perfect spot to chance for the black rhino which is at moment the endangered species given its nature of reproduction. Later, ascend out of the crater and proceed to your lodge. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge in Ngorongoro.

Breakfast at your lodge. Collect picnics and drive to Lake Natron. This is the less-visited home to nomadic people of Hadzapi and Datoga. They have managed to keep their culture for years. You will wonder how this experience still exists in this modern world but honestly speaking, it does! You will participate in the whole process of hunting using traditional tools and making barbeques from the hunt. You will then spare a moment to listen to ma narration of their other cultural activities, hear their traditional songs sung in a well-arranged manner. It is in the same village that the Datoga will teach you how to start a fire. Later, head to Karatu village for dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. Thereafter, drive back to Arusha for lunch at a restaurant. Depending on your outbound flight timings, you may spare the afternoon for last-minute shopping before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
