Honeymoon in Africa with Licaon Safaris

Day 1

Day 01: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha: 55Kms/1 hour

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Soon after custom procedures and luggage collection, you will be welcomed by Licaon Tours & Safaris representative with a signboard displaying your name. He/she will introduce you to your driver guide ready for the road transfer to Arusha. Dinner and accommodation at Kahawa House.

Day 2

Day 02: Arusha – Arusha National Park: 25kms/45 Minutes

Breakfast. Collect boxed lunch and drive to Arusha National Park. Game drives in this park, the home to the 2nd highest point in Tanzania – Mount Meru. You will chance to see giraffes, buffaloes among other wild animals found in this park. Later, drive out of the park and return to your lodge in Arusha. Dinner and accommodation at Kahawa House.

Day 3

Day 03: Arusha – Tarangire National Park: 120kms/2 Hours

You may need to change some foreign money to obtain local currency before leaving the city of Arusha behind and heading to Tarangire National Park. Game drives in this park are famous for herds of elephants and different species of birds. Picnic lunches will be served at midday at a designated picnic site. Later, drive out of the park and proceed to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Maramboi Tented Lodge.

Day 4

Day 04: Full Day Tarangire National Park

Breakfast. Drive to Tarangire National Park for the morning game drives. Later, return to your lodge for hot lunch. The balance of the day will spend with relaxation by the pool. Dinner and overnight at Maramboi Tented Lodge.

Day 5

Day 05: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park: 90kms/1.5 Hours

Leisurely breakfast at the lodge. Thereafter, collect boxed lunches, leave Tarangire behind, and head to Lake Manyara. Game drives in this small but beautiful park to look out of buffaloes, Thomson Gazelles, Monkeys, and different species of birds. Later, drive out of the park and head to your lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Kitela Lodge.

Day 6

Day 06: Ngorongoro Crater

Breakfast at the lodge. With picnics, take a short drive to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Soon after, descend to the floor of the crater for game drives in the caldera. This is a good spot to search for the rare black rhinoceros, heavily tasked elephants, and the full-grown black-maned lions. Later, ascend out of the crater and return to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Kitela Lodge.

Day 7

Day 07: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park: 245kms/4 Hours

Breakfast at the lodge. Collect packed lunches and head to Serengeti via the highlands of Ngorongoro. As you enter the Serengeti, you have game drives en route towards your lodge, located at Central Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Kubukubu Tented Lodge.

Day 8 & 9

Day 08 & 09: Serengeti National Park

Spend 2 entire days with game drives in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is no doubt the gem in the wild. What will you miss in Serengeti? – none! It has the highest concentration of wildlife, rivers, vast plains, and huge rocky outcrops exposed by erosion over millions of years back. You may spare one of the days for the early morning game drives to catch the early actions before it gets hot. Then, optionally spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at your lodge. All meals and overnight at Kubukubu Tented Lodge.

Day 10

Day 10: Fly Serengeti to Zanzibar (via Arusha)

Breakfast. With packed lunches, you will be transferred to Seronera Airstrip for a light aircraft to Zanzibar. (The plane may stop in Arusha for refueling and collect other passengers before it continues to Zanzibar). On arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be met by Licaon Tours & Safaris representative in Zanzibar and transferred to your beach hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Pongwe Beach Hotel.

Day 11 – 14

Day 11 – Day 14: Zanzibar

Spend 4 days relaxing at the beach of Zanzibar. Optional Excursions may be arranged directly whilst in the isles. Lunches are on their own arrangements. Dinner and Overnight at Pongwe Beach Hotel.

Day 15

Day 15: Fly Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam
